What this surface is for
- A read-only view of the governed decision-state EXIT CONTEXT: the current decision state (Allocate / Reduce / Abstain) and what triggered its last exit transition, shown verbatim from the governed read-model over decision_state_daily.
- This is decision-support context, not an automatic trade instruction. Reduce and Abstain are governed states, not buy / sell / rebalance orders, and this surface makes no recommendation.
Decision-state is a tactical layer, not the regime
- The decision state is the fast, reversible tactical decision layer; it does not redefine the slow, structural regime, which stays separate (see Regime state & risk).
- exit_trigger names what cleared or changed the last exit transition (e.g. triggers_cleared, de_escalation); the prior decision state gives the transition context.
ON / OFF / STALE / UNAVAILABLE
- The state label is shown verbatim with explicit freshness. A governed-but-behind source reads as STALE (with reason); the authz boundary reads as insufficient.
- Missing data is UNAVAILABLE, not OFF: when the governed source has no row on-or-before the as-of date (or the artifact / a required column is absent), the surface fails closed to unavailable - it is never inferred as a calm / allocate state.
Freshness & current-day completeness
- as of / latest available are verbatim governed dates - when they differ, you are seeing the latest available data, not today.
- stale means the data is older than the current period; it is shown as a distinct caution state, never as current.
- current day incomplete (intraday) is shown explicitly: it is not a hard failure - it refreshes after the next governed pipeline run.
- Yesterday's data is never relabelled as current; the freshness badge always reflects the governed truth.
State colours & badges
- Colour encodes governed state truthfully - it is not decoration. Normal/available is neutral grey, never green (there is no "go" cue).
- caution / degraded / stale show in amber; unavailable / missing-source in muted red.
- unknown and indeterminate are shown as muted, distinct from a stable state - missing data never looks normal.
- Short labels are display aliases; the full governed value is preserved in the title / data attributes.
